‘Ken is an exceptional leader, dedicated to the Trinity community and a passionate advocate for our vision and values’, said Charles Sitch, Chair of the Board. ‘The Board wholeheartedly endorsed Ken’s reappointment as Warden.’

Ken has led the development of Trinity’s ambitious strategic plan – a plan underpinned by Trinity’s priorities to grow in scale, increase student diversity, enhance the quality and variety of College programs, further engage with our alumni, and advance the higher education outcomes of Indigenous students.

During his tenure, Ken has led an impressive list of initiatives. These include:

  • expanding the scholarship program which will see the College awarding more than 60 full scholarships a year by 2023
  • significantly increasing the Pathways School facilities, including construction of a second consolidated campus at 611 Elizabeth Street
  • building the new wing of the residential college – Project 100 – enabling an additional 100 students to experience Trinity life from 2020
  • steering the College to the forefront of Indigenous higher education including hosting the 2016 and 2018 Indigenous Higher Education Conference
  • addressing important social and cultural matters in the College, including instigating the Neave Review of College culture
  • markedly expanding interactions amongst the College’s 29,000 alumni.

‘I am honoured that the Council saw fit to reappoint me to lead this wonderful and extraordinary institution and community’, Ken said. ‘The work of the last four years builds on the sound foundation provided by previous wardens and Boards of the College. It continues because of the superb governance of the College by the current Board and excellent management by my colleagues in the Senior Management Team. I will work diligently to build upon our success and through the support of the entire Trinity community ensure we continue to provide opportunities for young people to imagine and achieve a better world.’
